With so much to experience, why not make the festival part of a full Borderlands getaway? We encourage visitors to book accommodations early, as lodging in Bisbee may fill quickly during festival weekend.
If you find that hotels or vacation rentals in Bisbee are full, there are additional options in nearby Sierra Vista and Douglas—both less than 30 minutes from Camp Naco. Staying nearby gives you the opportunity to enjoy the festival while exploring even more of the communities and landscapes that make the Borderlands special.

Jeffrey Lazos-Ferns & Tarra Lazos Creative
Experience the Borderlands through the stories we share, the food we gather around, and the landscapes that have sustained generations. We are honored to welcome Indigenous foodways expert Jeffrey Lazos-Ferns and the Tarra Lazos Creative collective to the Unbelievable Borderlands Festival for two unforgettable culinary experiences.
Through a storytelling-driven tasting experience and guided Plant Walk & Tasting, guests will explore the connections between Indigenous foodways, Black culinary traditions, and the regional flavors of Sonora. From traditional ingredients to the stories held within the landscape, these experiences invite guests to discover the Borderlands through culture, community, and connection.

Get ready to dance with Gertie and the T.O. Boyz, bringing the joyful, infectious sounds of traditional Tohono O’odham Waila music to the Unbelievable Borderlands Festival. Led by Gertrude “Gertie” Lopez, the “Queen of Waila,” the band carries on a musical tradition rooted in the Tohono O’odham Nation and generations of family, community, and celebration.
A longtime performer and advocate for preserving and sharing Waila music, Gertie has brought this music to audiences across Arizona and around the country. Her goal is to share the beauty, joy, language, and culture of the Tohono O’odham people through music—and we’re thrilled to welcome her and the T.O. Boyz to Camp Naco.
