Create a Window Into Camp Naco’s Past

The Naco Heritage Alliance is seeking a talented artist to design a digitally produced trompe l’oeil mural for the Immersive Barracks Exhibit at Camp Naco.

This unique opportunity invites artists to combine historical research, digital artistry, and storytelling to create the illusion of an active early 20th-century barracks space. The final artwork will transform a physical wall into a visual gateway, allowing visitors to experience the scale, atmosphere, and lived environment of Camp Naco’s historic barracks (circa 1919–1924).

The selected artist will create a high-resolution digital composition designed for large-scale printing and installation as part of a permanent visitor experience. The work should help reveal the hidden stories of the soldiers, communities, and experiences connected to this important Borderlands site.
